Passed away peacefully on Friday 16th August 2024. Aged 93 years. Late of Melbourne and formerly of Brisbane, Canberra and Sydney. Widow of Neil Sylvester Thornton (1927 – 2014). Dearly loved mother of Harold and Sigrid and grandmother of Ben and Jaz. A graveside funeral service to celebrate Merle’s life was held on Thursday 29th August 2024 in the Denman Anglican Cemetery, Rosemount Road, Denman NSW.
