UPPER HUNTER LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS EASED
The lockdown restrictions have been eased for the Local Government Areas of Dungog, Muswellbrook, Singleton and Upper Hunter.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR FUNERALS
Up to 50 people can attend a funeral or memorial service excluding the people required to conduct the service. Each church and/or venue will have its own restrictions based on the one person per 4 square metre rules indoors and the one person per 2 square metre rule outdoors.
Face masks will remain mandatory for all indoor public venues and strict social distancing rules must be adhered to. Each person attending a funeral will be required to Check-In and record their contact details either electronically or manually. If the funeral is conducted in two parts for example a Church service followed by a Burial you ARE REQUIRED to check-in at both venues.
WHO CAN ATTEND
Anyone whom resides OUTSIDE of a stay at home area or an area of concern can attend a funeral up to the number limit.
Anyone whom resides INSIDE of a stay at home area or an area of concern can only attend a funeral outside of their stay at home area or area of concern if they are the spouse, de-facto, child, parent or sibling of the deceased.
