Died peacefully at Strathearn House, Scone. Loved wife of Ralph (deceased). Cherished sister of Bob Mailer (deceased) and Mary Lamph. Awesome aunt to Robert, Dougal, Kate, Alison (deceased), Rob and their families. One of life’s astute observers, Isabel was friend and confidante to generations of both Andrews and Mailer families. Isabel earned one of the few degrees available to the young women of her times, worked in Sydney’s child welfare for many years and was a letter-writer and witty conversationalist. She was well-loved as a Drummoyne personality. When her handbag was left behind on the Sydney RiverCat the crew knew to send it back by return ferry, to find Isabel waiting gratefully on Drummoyne Wharf for its handover.
