27 May 1944 – 14 August 2026

Barrie Frost, of Scone, passed away peacefully on 14 August 2026, aged 82. Loved father of Terry, and proud grandfather of Melissa and Natalie. Cherished son of Muriel and George Frost (both deceased), and beloved brother of Neville, Kerrie, Maureen (all deceased) and Stephen.
Barrie was a hardworking and well‑known member of the Upper Hunter community. He began his working life at Scone Coach and Motor Works before contributing to major projects across the region. His happiest years were spent at Yarraman Park, where he worked for nearly two decades and formed many lifelong friendships.
A man of the land, Barrie loved fishing, camping, gardening, and spending Sundays at his family’s farm at Alroy Longflat. He treasured time with his son and granddaughters, and was a familiar face at the Scone RSL Club in his retirement.
Barrie’s family extends heartfelt thanks to Peter, Jo, Tenille, and to Wendy and the Yarraman Park admin team for their exceptional care and support in his later years.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, gentle humour, and the deep love he held for his family and community.
A celebration of Barrie’s life will be held on Monday 24th August 2026 in the Upper Hunter Presbyterian Church, 37 Guernsey Street, Scone NSW commencing at 10am followed by burial in the Scone Lawn Cemetery, New England Highway, Scone NSW 2337.
